Literature

ARM biologists work with engineers early in a project's design phase to avoid and minimize impacts upon threatened and endangered species and species of special concern. Technical materials are referenced to evaluate habitats, assess species presence or absence, guide avoidance and minimization and develop potential mitigation or enhancement measures. ARM's CEO and Principal Geologist, Mr. Ned E. Wehler, P.G., has recently been appointed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to serve as the Technical Advisor to the Pennsylvania Commissioner on SRBC.
In this role, Mr. Wehler has the responsibility to seek comments and feedback from the "regulated community" as well as from any/all "special interest" groups, and serving as a voice or conduit for that input to the Commission. Mr. Wehler will also evaluate such input, and assist the DEP with technical review of existing and proposed SRBC regulations and policies. Cumberland County Landfill Obtains Permit to Increase Average Daily Volume
ARM Group Inc. provided engineering and related services on behalf of Interstate Waste Services, Inc. to prepare a Major Permit Modification Application to increase the average daily volume at Cumberland County Landfill.

This major permit modification approves an increase in average daily volume from 1500 tons per day to 2500 tons per day, and an increase in the maximum daily volume from 1950 tons per day to 2950 tons per day.

Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission Final Report
On July 22, 2011, Governor Corbett's Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission issued its final report with 96 policy recommendations. The recommendations appear to be high level concepts that leave implementation to state agencies but will undoubtedly influence future regulations and laws with regard to the Pennsylvania natural gas industry. ARM has participated in the "sandbox" testing of the EPA reporting tool e-GGRT for the EPA's greenhouse gas reporting program (GHGRP).
ARM is now able to ensure compliance with the EPA's GHGRP for the 2010 reporting period on behalf of its customers. More information about the GHGRP can be found here:
