Wehler, P.G., has recently been appointed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to serve as the Technical Advisor to the Pennsylvania Commissioner on SRBC. In this role, Mr. Wehler has the responsibility to seek comments and feedback from the "regulated community" as well as from any/all "special interest" groups, and serving as a voice or conduit for that input to the Commission. Mr. Wehler will also evaluate such input, and assist the DEP with technical review of existing and proposed SRBC regulations and policies. Cumberland County Landfill Obtains Permit to Increase Average Daily Volume ARM Group Inc. provided engineering and related services on behalf of Interstate Waste Services, Inc. to prepare a Major Permit Modification Application to increase the average daily volume at Cumberland County Landfill. This major permit modification approves an increase in average daily volume from 1500 tons per day to 2500 tons per day, and an increase in the maximum daily volume from 1950 tons per day to 2950 tons per day. The recommendations appear to be high level concepts that leave implementation to state agencies but will undoubtedly influence future regulations and laws with regard to the Pennsylvania natural gas industry.
