ARM hydrogeologists are utilizing state-of-the-art geophysical technologies in concert with geologic studies to site successful wells for businesses, industries, municipalities and private landowners.  In many cases, highly productive wells have been completed in areas where previous efforts produced low yielding wells or dry boreholes.

ARM has worked in areas with extremely complex bedrock geology, in remote locations, and within the confines of heavily populated municipalities.  In addition, ARM is experienced at working with multiple local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

ARM has been successful by understanding the various tools available to evaluate site specific geology and hydrogeology. Intrinsic in using these tools is the ability to interpret the data received from field investigation techniques such as geophysical surveys.

The diagram below illustrates the use of an electrical resistivity (ER) survey to site a 500-foot deep groundwater supply well. Using ER, the well was drilled into bedrock at the intersection of a thrust fault and a fracture zone. The well represented in this diagram produces several hundred gallons of water per minute (gpm) and supplies a nearby residential community. It is one of the highest yielding wells in the area.
