SRBC Issues Consumptive Use Mitigation Plan The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) recently issued its Consumptive Use Mitigation Plan that documents current and projected quantities of consumptive water uses in the Susquehanna watershed and outlines a strategy for addressing impacts from increased uses. Renewable Energy Grants Available PADEP announced on Monday, April 21 that grant applications are now available for three programs that will help to expand the use of renewable energy technologies in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Read Fact Sheet SRBC Rate Increase The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) has announced a proposal to increase its consumptive water use mitigation fee to $0.28 per thousand gallons. The proposed increase is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2009. This proposal is open for public comment until May 31, 2008. A public hearing is scheduled for April 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Office on Elmerton Avenue in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
