MSE Berm Redesign Saves Client Millions of Dollars Using RAP as Alternative Backfill.
ARM Group recently provided value engineering, construction phase engineering, and quality control inspections for the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) in New Jersey. We redesigned the MSE berm saving our client millions of dollars by optimizing the berm geometry and reducing the amount of soil needed. ARM is one of the first to utilize recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) as an alternative backfill, reducing construction costs by approximately 20% and reducing the construction duration.
